Lochmead is Lane County’s local dairy. Our products are fresh and delicious, and our company is managed with sustainable practices including our new methane digester and solar panels. Lochmead Dairy is committed to sourcing local because we only accept milk from our own single-source herd, where every cow was born and raised on our farm.
We purchase 90% from local farms (within 100 miles).

Lochmead was one of the first dairies in the United States to install a psychrophilic methane digester. We turn poo into power! When fully functional, the digester is expected to generate 1.5 million kWh of electricity annually, enough to power 300 local homes, and reduce methane emissions by at least 3,500 metric tons of CO2, equivalent to removing 700 vehicles from the road for a year.
